Hi Rainer,

Does the applet appear to function correctly (i.e. you can login, text message and place calls)? If so I wouldn't worry about this error message. Messages in the console are of a diagnostic nature, and aren't really meant for user consumption. If there is a serious error a dialog box will appear to notify you.

Hallo Malcolm,

you can communicate on level "technical", not "end user".

I am testing the applet with the two java versions of OS/2 and two sound systems

- the ThinkPad T23 internal sound system based on (AC97)
ICH3 - CS4299 Chipset

- and an external USB audio adapter.

For the internal sound system I can choose between tow sound drivers.

None of the java - sounddriver combination works on the T23.

The problems are obvious not on the applet side!

I am tracking down some java and sound driver problems.

The error log may be helpful to determine the bugs on the java and driver level.

How to get the error log working?

kind regards

Rainer

2. the text communication works!

3. the sound out ( ring test ) do show the first driver problem.

4. mic input to the java applet fails

clearly a java/sounddriver problem - not the applet

Hi Rainer,

The test ring should only play once, so that is functioning correctly.
