Little Focus Problem while using text Function

I recently used the text function to chat with a friend of mine, but I have found a little annoying problem. Every time I press enter to send the message, the text area gets unfocused and I have to click on it to write the next message. Clicking on the send button works well, though.
It's not really a problem, but I thought you should know.
Thank you for developing such a great service. Nice job.

hi Rainbow,

I've seen this focus issue before, and I agree it is annoying. It seems to occur when using certain versions of Java 1.4 on Windows. Luckily there is a solution for this. If you download and install Java 1.5 the problem goes away. If you go to http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp you will be able to download and install the new version of Java and the annoying focus bug will disappear.

I've the same focus problem, running eCS/OS2. As you know, eCS/OS2 users don't have the possibility to upgrade to Java 1.5 in the short period. Is there any fix, other than the java upgrade?

I'll look into this further and see if I can come up with a solution for people stuck at 1.4.
