Some of us eCS users have been discussing and promoting The Switchboard on one of the eCS forums, and someone has asked about security. I don't recall seeing anything about security, so thought I would ask here. Just how secure is it?
All communication between clients and the switchboard servers is encrypted. The only communications that are not encrypted are the direct calls between two clients. During direct calls data is transferred directly between the two parties, so there is no need to encrypt this data since there are no intemediaries being used.
Hope that answers your question.
By the way, I'm really glad that the switchboard has impressed you OS/2 users enough that you are taking the time to promote it to your fellow OS/2ers.
